Martin Coup Men's Captain 2011

I first joined Hexham back in 1977 and although I have moved away with my job I have always found my way back. I am lucky that golf has always been a big part of my life and it’s important to me that I enjoy it. So the stunning scenery, friendly atmosphere and tranquillity of Hexham Golf Club make it the perfect place to enjoy my hobby. I am very privileged and honoured to be Captain of Hexham Golf Club, and I am also proud to be a member of a club. A club which puts its member’s needs first and with a long tradition of nurturing home grown talent. Our junior section is thriving, with the youngster filtering through to the men’s Hadrian League team. The men’s team itself is the most successful in the Hadrian leagues history winning the title 15 times. |
| The matches are generally played on a Wednesday night, so if you wish to support the team a full fixture list can be found on the notice board in the bar.
Visitors are always welcome, so come along and enjoy the course, have a beer and sample the freshly prepared food. If you have played at Hexham before you will know its merits, if you haven’t you have a treat in store! It’s a traditional parkland golf course on the south side of the River Tyne, with stunning views over the North and South Tyne and surrounding countryside. You never know you might just want to stay! We have a Captains Away Day every year, usually in May so please put your name down to join us (list on bar notice board). We also have a very successful Men's Team in the local Hadrian League so if you wish to come and support the team see the fixtures and results section below. |
